Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service is a community services agency which has been helping people in Melbourne battle poverty and need for more than 140 years.
We work side by side with and for people who are disadvantaged or oppressed, providing a range of services to give those in need a hand up, not a hand out.
We believe that everyone, regardless of age, sex, culture or religion, has the right to adequate income and shelter, opportunities for education and employment, quality health care and nutrition, and that everyone should be treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
We share with our supporters a strong commitment to, and desire for, social justice. We have a deep and genuine concern for people and actively seek to influence policy through research and by advocating on behalf of those with whom we work.
