Our leadership team

Robyn Roberts: Chief Executive Officer

Robyn was appointed CEO of Good Shepherd Youth & Family Service in November 2010. She has worked for the organisation for over seven years, as Location Manager for our Collingwood site and as Deputy CEO. Robyn is focused on achieving service excellence in the four focus areas of our Strategic Plan 2010-2015. She is drawn to the organisation by its strong values and commitment to achieving justice for all.

Gendrie Klein-Breteler: Service Area Manager, Women & girls

Dedicated to greater inclusion for vulnerable and isolated women and girls, Gendrie has worked with the broader Good Shepherd network for over 38 years. Gendrie began working for Good Shepherd Youth & Family Service when the St.Kilda program, originally a Good Shepherd Sisters initiative, was incorporated into our organisation. She is actively involved with the network and the Good Shepherd Asia Pacific Partnership Team.

Kay O'Connell: Service Area Manager, Families

In her 18 years with us Kay has worked on many projects including the early NILS program; she also helped establish our St Albans services. She has worked alongside many Good Shepherd Sisters, who she says had a "profound influence" on her. Kay believes in our mission: to embrace wholeheartedly innovative and creative ways of enabling people of all cultural, religious and social backgrounds to enjoy the fullness of life.

Iain Ritchie: Service Area Manager, Financial Inclusion and Community Strengthening

Iain has been with us for four years. His qualifications are in Human Services and he is passionate about working with people to support them to do the best job they can. His vision for the future of our services for the Peninsula area is to see the development of new initiatives to further support women, particularly in the areas of financial inclusion.

Julie McQueen: Organisational Development Manager

Julie has been with us for many years, with a career that spans the meat industry, local government and the non-profit-sector. She has also been actively involved with Indigenous communities since the 1970s. Julie is dedicated to achieving service excellence for our clients and fair and equitable working conditions for our staff.

Kathy Landvogt

Kathy has worked as a social policy researcher in Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service since 2005. Kathy is a social worker with experience in service delivery, management, and service evaluation in both government and community-based organisations. She has been an educator in welfare and social work, and in community and adult education. Kathy completed her PhD in social work in the area of community-based women's learning and support groups.

Emily Jackson: Marketing and Fundraising Manager

Emily has been with us since early 2008. Emily has worked for a number of organisations in the UK and Australia, raising funds for women's causes, youth homelessness, asylum seekers and refugees. She is dedicated to raising awareness of social justice issues and passionate about building sustainable partnerships with business and philanthropy to achieve better outcomes for the most disadvantaged.

Hazel Dean, Business and Finance Manager

Hazel is the most recent addition to our Leadership team, having worked in the financial sector, community health sector and as well as the community services sector for the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and Orana UnitingCare amongst others.
