Letter from the CEO

Hello.

Sadly, this year already looks like being another one affected by global economic instability. And while some sectors of our own economy continue to boom, others are really struggling. People who might have once considered themselves safe from financial insecurity are now facing genuine financial stress.

There are others who have lived their entire lives in financial difficulty, and who might be battling all manner of issues stemming from a lifetime of financial exclusion. These people need our support more than ever. So we have dedicated this issue of Shepherd's Voice to the theme of financial inclusion.

I think the stories here really do illustrate how Good Shepherd Youth & Family Service's programs and research are helping people to build better lives for themselves and their families. Many of our services and projects are aimed at empowering people to overcome hardship by providing them with skills rather than handouts, and I truly believe this is the best way we can build financially inclusive communities so the most vulnerable among us can thrive and succeed.

I do hope you enjoy this autumn edition of Shepherd's Voice. And thank you so much for your support.
