What is the Vietnamese Women's Group?
The Vietnamese Women's Group is a weekly playgroup and support group for Vietnamese women and their children, particularly those who feel isolated. A family worker also assists group participants with one-to-one support.
Who can use the Vietnamese Women's Group?
This group is for women from Vietnamese backgrounds and their children under 5 years of age who live in the City of Brimbank, which includes the suburbs of Deer Park, Keilor, St Albans, Sunshine, Sydenham and Taylors Lakes. View list of areas covered within the City of Brimbank.
What does the Vietnamese Women's Group offer?
- Information about parenting, family health and wellbeing and child development
- opportunity to build social and support networks
- assistance with accessing support services and resolving issues
- one-to-one support with issues such as domestic violence, grief and loss, depression or anxiety and conflict with children
- referral to other services.
